Shubham Mhapankar 2017-18 TEAM CAPTAIN

My name is Shubham Nikesh Mhapankar , a senior mechanical engineer and one of the 2017-2018 LTJSS Racing INDIA Team Lead. Being on Baja for about four years now , I have gained exposure to a field of mechanical engineering that I would not have been able to experience in my classes. Primarily working on the manufacturing and application of advanced material such as aluminum , carbon fiber and Kevlar has not only taught me about interesting , advanced new field , but has also introduced me to an incredible team. The friends that I have made and the lessons I have learned working with this students that are driven , creative and passionate about Baja will stick with me for years to come. By until then , we're on our way to debue year of an international Baja for the first time in history of Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering.

  • Custom light weight 2 stage reduction gearbox

  • All custom halfshaft with heat treatment CV joints.

  • Custom glass fiber body pannels are stronger and lighter.

  • Light weight custom design bucket seat

  • Aluminium skidplates and guarding

  • GPS , speed , rpm and lap time data modular architecture for sensor expansion

  • Lap timing sensor for accurate timing and tunning purpose.
